John Skerman

John has been living and performing on the Sunshine Coast his entire life in both music and amateur theatre. Whilst growing up he learnt piano, saxophone and his preferred instrument of choice guitar.

John has played at various festivals, events and venues. They include the Woodford Folk Festival, Tanawha Blues Festival, Sunshine Coast and Brisbane Motorcycle shows. He was a regular solo/duo performer at Yandina Muso's club and the Woombye Bourbon and Blues Bar; where he supported acts like James T and the Last Volunteers, The Kevin Borich Express, Jeff Lang and many more.

More recently he has performed solo at venues including: Ettamogah Pub, Sunshine Plaza, Chancellor Tavern, Duporth Tavern, Scu Bar, Yandina Hotel, several Surf Life Saving Clubs and the new look Palmwoods Hotel.

With a mix of powerful vocal and solid foot tapping acoustic rhythms Johns style travels through many musicals genre's from Blues & Roots, easy listening, too more contemporary arrangements. This enables John the ability to adapt his performances too a variety of venues and connect to a wide audience.

The vibrant nature of his performance creates a warm and relaxed atmosphere appreciated by those that enjoy good music and a good time.
